Notes:

13 Mar 1806 London, Foudroyant, and Amazon capture the Marengo and Belle-Poule, returning to France. The former was used as a prison ship ; the latter was also purchased into the service.

20 Jun 1808 departed Portland Roads with convoy for the Mediterranean.

14-15 Feb 1809 Belle-Poule, north of the island of Corfu : chased and captured the French frigate-built store-ship Var, which was added to the British navy as a store-ship under the name of Chichester.

21 Mar 1810 involved in the expedition in the Adriatic against the island of St.-Maura.

11 Dec 1810 Belle-Poule captured La Carlotta, Italian brig of war, of 10 guns and 100 men, when bound from Venice to Corfu, when in company with the Montague and Acorn.

4-5 May 1811 the frigates Belle-Poule and Alceste chased and destroyed a French man-of-war brig in the harbour of Parenza.

29 Aug 1811 arrived Portsmouth with convoy from Malta (1 Jul) and Gibraltar (1 Aug).

2 Sep 1811 arrived Plymouth Dock.

5 Sep 1811 went up Plymouth harbour to refit.

4 Nov 1811 came down Plymouth harbour and anchored in the Sound, after having been refitted.

30 Jan 1812 detained and sent into Plymouth the Spy from New York.

8 Sep 1812 arrived Plymouth Dock from Lisbon, with the American ship America, from Boston, which she captured on her passage.

9 Oct 1812 departed Plymouth for the coast of France.

30 Oct 1812 arrived Plymouth Dock having been on shore on the Black Rocks, and again on coming into harbour, but was soon got off ; the Armide accompanied her into port.

6 Feb 1813 Recaptured and sent into Plymouth the Alexander, De Norte, from Falmouth to Portugal.

20 Mar 1813 detained and sent into Plymouth the American ship John and Francis.

10 Apr 1813 detained and sent into Plymouth the American schooner Napoleon, of and from New York to Bourdeaux.

20 Apr 1813 captured the U.S. privateer, the 10 gun schooner Zebra, with 38 men. (the Zebra was formerly HM schooner Laura).

26 Apr 1813 Has detained and sent into Plymouth an American vessel, the Zebra, from Nantz to Bourdeaux.

11 May 1813 captured the U.S. letter of marque, the 4 gun schooner Revenge with, 32 men, after a 9� hours chase. She was 37 days Charleston to Bourdeaux. She is a new vessel, copper bottomed, and fastened, and pierced for 16 guns.

14 May 1813 Has detained and sent into Plymouth the American schooner Revenge, from Charleston, bound to Bourdeaux.

10 Jul 1813 arrived Plymouth from a cruise.

21 Aug 1813 arrived Plymouth from the westward.

22 Aug 1813 arrived Plymouth from the Channel Fleet.

24 Aug 1813 departed Plymouth to join the Channel Fleet

14 Dec 1813 captured a U.S. privateer, the 2 gun brig Squirrel, with 17 men.

17 Dec 1813 has detained and sent into Plymouth the American brig Squirrel from Bourdeaux, bound to America.

1814 converted to troop ship.

Before the 9 Apr 1814 the batteries of Pointe Coubre, Pointe N�gre, Royan, Sonlac, and M�che were entered and destroyed by a detachment from the Belle-Poule.

Pouillac 9 Apr 1814 It is reported that some of Buonaparte's veterans are determined to hold out, though the inhabitants are all in favour of the Bourbons.

28 May 1814 arrived Plymouth from Bordeaux.

1 Aug 1814 arrived Portsmouth from Bordeaux.

11 Aug 1814 departed Portsmouth for Plymouth.

15 Aug 1814 came into Plymouth from Portsmouth with the 93d regiment.

17 Sep 1814 has embarked troops at Plymouth and sails for America tomorrow.

18 Sep 1814 departed Plymouth with a squadron with troops for Bermuda.

14 Dec 1814 distribution of head-money arising from the capture of American gun-boats and sundry bales of cotton, [per London Gazette of 26 Jun 1821].

1815 converted to prison ship.

17 May 1815 arrived Portsmouth from the coast of America.

24 May 1815 departed Plymouth for Cork.
