Notes:

20 Sep 1803 arrived Dover, the revenue cutter Swallow, and the hired armed cutters Betsey, and Duchess of Cumberland to refit.

9 Mar 1804 Lieut Street, of the Betsey cutter, reports that 6 gun brigs, and 11 luggers came down the Seine on Thursday morning last and went into Havre, which increased the force there to about 45 sail of gun boats which are waiting the opportunity to depart for Boulogne. The fishermen at Havre have been pressed into navigating them.

9 Mar 1804 arrived Spithead from the Squadron off Havre.

13 Mar 1804 departed Spithead to join the squadron off Havre.

29 Mar 1804 the report in the newspaper is a little confusing, so I hope that the following gets the gist of what actually happened : the English brig Ann, W Saers, laden with guns and shot &c., had been taken by a French privateer and is reported to have been driven on shore in the Channel, between Honfleur and Havre, the Betsey, cutter, Lieut Street, having to go on shore along side to set the vessel on fire.

30 Mar 1804 arrived Spithead from off Havre.

May 1805 Yarmouth [Still included in Steel's Navy List, but period of hire terminated in 1804].
