Circa Aug 1801 Capt J.M. Lewis appointed in command.

2 Oct 1801 at half past ten, as she was coming from the River to the Nore she got ashore on the Nore Sand, opposite Southend. She hoisted a signal for assistance, which was sent from the dockyard, but the tide ebbing, she remains on the Sand. She has struck her top yards etc., and it is hoped she will be got off at high water. The Wind S.W. fine breeze.

5 Oct 1801 the Braak was got off the Sands on Friday morning without doing any damage, [and was taken into Sheerness harbour].

11 Oct 1801 at Sheerness, and has been ordered to prepare to be paid off following the recent signing of the Peace of Amiens.

21 Oct 1801 a Court-Martial was held at Sheerness, on the Pilot of the Braak, for having negligently ran her on shore, in coming to the Nore from Deptford on the 2d inst. when the charges being proved, he was dismissed the service as a Pilot, and mulcted of all his pay.

2 Nov 1801 at the Great Nore.

12 Nov 1801 remains Sheerness, with the Zealand, guard-ship.

30 Nov 1801 remains with the Zealand and some 20 other vessels at the Nore.

14 Feb 1802 remains at the Nore, with the Zealand.

15 Apr 1802 remains at the Nore with the Amphion, &c.

9 Sep 1802 notice is given that the Braak, Copper-bottomed, lying at Deptford, has been put up for sale.
