Notes:

1806 Built at Bermuda of the pencil cedar, measure, BOM, from 75 to 78 tons ; mount four 12-pounder carronades, with a crew of 20 men and boys.

1808 a less than complimentary comment on this type of vessel, which, although built in 1806, is included by William James in the volume for 1808, presumably in the light of the experiences of those who had departed them, and the results achieved or otherwise.

30 Dec 1809, departed Bermuda, for Halifax.

9 Aug 1812 captured the U.S. privateer, the 3 gun schooner Pythagoras, with 35 men, off Shelburne, N.B..

30 Dec 1812, St John's, N.B., arrived from a cruise.

1813, schooner Cranberry cut out of Bass Harbour by Rattler and Bream, vessel taken into New Brunswick.

31 Mar 1813, captured the schooner Defiance, 113 tons, T. Altham, master, Castine to Boston, taken into New Brunswick.

23 April 1813 captured the Sloop Semiramis on the N.A. & W. Indies station.

19 May 1813 with the Rattler captured the U.S. privateer, the 18 gun ship Alexander, with 70 men, off Kenebank.

26 May 1813 captured the schooner Branch, 78 tons, H. Luskin, master, Boston to Deer Island, ballast, taken into New Brunswick.

9 Jun 1813 captured the U.S. privateer sloop Wasp, of Salem, 2 x 6-pounder guns, and 33 men, out 18 days, and captured nothing, although she was reported to have chased 5 vessels on shore at Cranberry Head and ransacked two of them before being driven off by militiamen. Taken into New Brunswick.

27 Jun 1813, arrived from a cruise, with the American schooners Packet, of N.Y., Fox, of Portland, and Dispatch, with flour and corn, and a Chebucto boat, prizes to the Bream.

12 Jul 1813 captured the schooner Jefferson on the N.A. & W. Indies station.

14 Jul 1813 captured the Schooner Betsey, 117 tons, Moses Hall, master, Tortola to Portland. Taken into New Brunswick. Restored.

14 Jul 1813 captured the Schooner Triton.

11 Jul 1814, with the Ramillies, Martin, Terror, Borer, captured property at Moose Island (Lt. Tho. Beir in cmd.).

21 Oct - 6 Nov 1814, prize money due for an operation carried out over this period.

29 Nov - 19 Dec 1814, prize money due for an operation carried out over this period.

12 Dec 1814, captured the schooner Mary, and her cargo.

1 Dec 1831 prize money due for the capture of the privateer Wasp 10 Jun 1813, due to be paid - see above for details ; dare I say "at last" ?
