City of Cork, 1797
Type: Tender ;
15 May 1797 Lieutenant Cheyne, commanding officer of this vessel, whilst returning from shore was hailed by a centinel in a gun boat in Hamoaze, but apparently failed to answer the challenge and was shot through the heart and died.
