Portsmouth 30 Aug 1785 arrived from Ireland.

14 Jun 1795 the fleet, whilst on a cruise, was joined by a squadron from Gibraltar and England off Minorca.

8 Jul 1795, the fleet, at anchor at in San-Fiorenzo bay, once aware that the French fleet was close by, gave chase. It was sighted on the 13th and later the order was given for the general chase, but apart from the loss of a 74 by the French the result was inconclusive and resulted in not a little criticism, the consequence perhaps being Admiral Hotham's resignation on 1 Nov 1795.

6 Aug 1795, Admiral Hotham put to sea on a cruise, sighting the French fleet in Toulon road.

Oct/Nov 1795 M. Ganteaume arrived in the Levant with his squadron, where he captured a great many merchant vessels, and, at the port of Smyrna, released the frigate Sensible, and corvette Sardine with her prize, the late British frigate Nemesis, until now blockaded by the Aigle and Cyclops, Captain William Hotham.

8 Mar to 2 Sep 1801 services off the coast of Egypt.

8 Mar 1801 of the personnel employed disembarking the army in Aboukir Bay 1 seaman was wounded.

9 Oct 1802 arrived at Genoa, from Malta.

9 Jan 1804 arrived Spithead from Malta, last from Lisbon, the Cyclops, Capt Fyffe.

14 Jan 1804 departed Spithead with a convoy for the Downs.

8 Feb 1804 arrived Spithead, from the Eastward, the Cyclops, Capt Fyffe, and the store ship Abundance.

16 Feb 1804 departed Spithead with a number of men of the Army Reserve, for Ireland, the Cyclops.

3 Mar 1804 arrived Spithead, from Cork.

16 Mar 1804 departed Spithead to lie as guard ship at Jack in the Basket ; I have a feeling that is off Lymington, still in the Solent.

Circa 15 Sep 1804 Capt Heathcote apptd to the Cyclops, guard ship at Lymington.

10 Oct 1804 arrived Spithead, Cyclops, from lying as guardship at Lymington.

20 Oct 1804 return to her station off Lymington.
