2 Oct 1847 detained a slave schooner, Name Unknown, supposed Maria, with 287 slaves on board, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at Sierra Leone, and sentenced to be condemned. 31 May 1849 the proceeds arising due for payment.

14 Jan 1848 Dart and Philomel detained a slave felucca, Name Unknown, supposed Wandering Jew, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at Sierra Leone, and sentenced to be condemned. 26 Dec 1849 Proceeds arising due for payment.

28 Jul 1848 detained the Brazilian slave barque Nova Roza, which was subsequently condemned by the Vice-Admiralty Court, at St. Helena and prize money on account of the bounty money on the tonnage and of the other proceeds available for payment circa 16 Oct 1850.

19 Sep 1848 detained in lat 8� 15' S. long 12� 50' E., the slave brig Bom Destino, 265 tons, master J. Sampaio ; sent on board her prize crew who took the vessel to St. Helena where the capture was adjudicated by the Vice-Admiralty Court, who condemned the vessel ; no slaves onboard.

3 Feb 1849 assembled a squadron off Gallinas, consisting of the Penelope, Favorite, Sealark, Waterwitch, Bonetta, Dart and Pluto. Boats from the squadron with 300 men passed the bar at 7.30. a. m., and landed at Dombocorro, took possession of it, and the neighbouring factories and barracoons...whilst the boats of the Penelope, pushed on to the Solyman factories, and the village of Dreesing, were totally destroyed. Commander Murray also conducted a party to Mineh, and destroyed the factories and barracoons which it contained. On the 4th the three large factories in the vicinity of Dombocorro were destroyed, along with Dombocorro itself, with all its contents, was burnt to the ground, and by sunset, the force had returned to their respective ships, without a single casualty (representing a summary of Commodore Hotham's report on the event).

Jul 1850 off the River Angozha and Quillimane coast, where the Dee and the Flag Officer were joined by the Dart.

7 Jan 1851 off Cape Fitzwilliam the boats of the Castor, Orestes, and Dart were manned and armed and sent up the River Monega, in lat. 17� 17' S. long. 38� 5' E., in order to obtain restitution for the actions of the Macona tribe a few days previously, in kidnapping 2 of the officers from the Castor on 3 Jan. However, on arriving at the village it was found to have been deserted by the able bodied tribesmen and was burnt.

Early 1851 Had arrived at the Gambia with military reliefs for Bathurst.

30 Aug 1851 Cape of Good Hope.

20 Mar 1854 tender to the Maeander, is reported to be in the Mozambique Channel but that she hadn't seen one vessel which could have been considered a possible slave trader and is due to return in April.
