May 1803 Lieut Lake apptd to the armed cutter Duke of York.

15 Jul 1803 arrived Spithead the Eagle, from New York to Amsterdam, prize to the cutter Duke of York.

2 Aug 1803 arrived Spithead the Young Jane, from Rosburgh, to France, sent in by the Duke of York.

2 Nov 1803 went out of Portsmouth harbour to Spithead.

3 Nov 1803 departed Spithead the hired armed cutter Duke of York, Lieut Balfour, with a convoy for Guernsey.

June-Dec 1806 ADM 41/76 hired armed vessels, ships' musters for Duke of York.

1807 Plymouth.

15 Oct 1807 in company with the Fox and Seagull Revenue Cutters, captured the Friendland French Privateer.

Nov 1808 convoy to the Downs.

Gosport, October 18, 1809. Notice it hereby given, that an Account cf the Proceeds received for the Capture of the Friendland French Privateer, ----, Commander, by HM Hired Armed Cutter Duke of York, Lieutenant J. Forbes, Commander, (in Company with the Fox and Seagull Revenue Cutters,) on the 15th October 1807, will be delivered into the Registry of the High Court of Admiralty, agreeably to Act of Parliament. Hurry, Jukes, and Co.

1 Mar 1811 is reported to be based on the Guernsey Station, Lieut T. Banks, per Steel's Navy List (NL), but since the vessel was returned to her owners in 1810 per Rif Winfield, this note appears to be a bit out of date, but this isn't unusual when it comes to these hired vessels and also to Steels NL.
