6 Jun 1835 it is reported that the Duncan, used as a lazarette at Leith during the cholera epidemic, was to be moved to the River Thames where she was to be sold and broken up, however, it would that appear she was transferred to Standgate Creek, in the River Medway, for use by the Quarantine Service.
