17 Apr 1800 London, Hired Armed Cutter Earl Spencer, Lt Anthony Thompson, Commander, captured the ship F�derlandet.

Dec 1800 HM Hired Cutter Earl Spencer, Lt Anthony Thompson, recaptured the Hardwick Brig.

31 Dec 1800 it was reported in the Morning Post of 2 Jan., from Dover, that the Earl Spencer cutter, Lt Thompson, recaptured the Mary Ann brig, Wm. Baxfield, master, from Yarmouth, bound to Liverpool with 676 quarters of corn, after it was taken by a French lugger 3-4 miles off the South Foreland, however the Master and crew were taken prisoner and carried off to France. The brig was taken into Dover Pier at about mid-day by a prize crew, whilst the Earl Spencer cutter continued in chase of the French privateer.

3 Jun 1801 London, notice is hereby given that an Account Proceeds of Salvage for the Mary Ann Brig and Hardwick Brig, recaptured by His Majesty's Hired Cutter Earl Spencer, Lt Anthony Thompson, in December last, will be deposited in the Registry of the High Court of Admiralty. 17 Jun 1801 departed the Downs, the Earl Spencer, cutter, and the Galgo, on a cruise to the Eastward.

14 Jul 1801 arrived in the Downs.

4 Oct 1801 remains in Dover Roads.

18 Oct 1801 arrived in the Downs from Dungeness, a strong westerly gale blowing at the present time.

31 Jul 1804 London, notice is hereby given that an Account of Sales of the Proceeds of the Cargo of the Ship F�derlandet, captured the 17th of April 1800 by His Majesty's Hired Armed Cutter Earl Spencer, Lt Anthony Thompson, Commander, will be delivered into the Registry of the High Court of Admiralty, agreeably to Act of Parliament. Rd. Hallilay, Agent.

11 Aug 1804 Sheerness, notice is hereby given, that the distribution of the proceeds of the cargo of the F�derlandet, captured by HM Hired Cutter Earl Spencer, Lt Anthony Thomson, Commander, and of her proportion of the condemned part of the cargo of the Daphne, will be made at Sheerness, on Monday the 27th Instant ; and there recalled for 3 years to come, by R. Hallilay, Agent.

12 Jul 1810 notice is hereby given, that an account of sales of the proceeds of a small Sum of Money returned from the Admiralty Courts pursuant to a late decision in a claim of abatement upon the Marshal's Bill of Charges in the Cargo of the Ship F�derlandet, captured the 17th April 1800 by His Majesty's Hired Armed Cutter Earl Spencer, Lieutenant Anthony Thompson, Commander, will be delivered into the Registry of the High Court of Admiralty, agreeably to Act of Parliament, R. Hallilay, Agent.
