2 Feb 1871 departed for Plymouth to relieve the Black Eagle which had broken down.

3 Feb 1871 Mr Childers embarked at Devonport and sails shortly for a cruise to the southward and westward.

6 Feb 1871 departed, the weather now having improved.

11 Feb 1871 Mr C. arrived Madeira. [One of the benefits of being First Lord of the Admiralty.

1 Apr 1877 Commissioned at Portsmouth for the use of the Lords of the Admiralty.

9 May 1889 Has been replaced by the Helicon as an Admiralty yacht and has been sold to Messrs. Reed at Portsmonth to be broken up.
