Notes:

10 Jan 1801 the Fanny, Lt Frissel, detained the Swedish vessel Fortuna, Captain Muller, from Morlaix to Lisbon, laden with linen and paper, but subsequently gave her up.

27 Jan 1801 arrived Plymouth from a cruise.

7 Feb 1801 departed Plymouth for the West Indies with despatches.

16 Mar 1801 departed Barbadoes with the Leviathan, Andromeda, Unit�, Drake, Hornet, L'Eclair, schooner, and Alexandria, tender, with 1,500 troops for Grand Saline Bay, St. Bartholomew. The Hornet and Fanny, armed brig, were sent to the main harbour in the Island to detain a number of French privateers etc., before the armistice was signed, but they weren't able to get into position to perform the task and even after a chase of 24 hours were unable to detain any of the vessels concerned.

25 Mar 1801 leaving sufficient troops and the Proselyte, Hornet, and Drake to defend the island the rest of the troops were embarked and the squadron departed for St Thomas's on the 26th. The Unit� was to be detached with the prisoners to Martinique.

2 Apr 1801 departed Christianstadt, Santa Cruz, with agreement to take the island, and to take Captain Ekins, of the Amphitrite, who is now being invalided back to England and can also answer any questions regarding the progress of the current plans to occupy certain Islands held by enemy powers, as directed by the Admiralty.

10 May 1801 arrived Plymouth Sound with dispatches from Guadaloupe with despatches from V.-Adm Duckworth, and Lt.-Gen Trigge, after a fine passage of five weeks from Santa Cruz. He brings dispatches containing the important intelligence of the surrender of all the Danish and Swedish islands in the West Indies, viz. Santa Cruz, St. Thomas, St. Bartholomew, and St. Martin.

3 Oct 1801 departed Plymouth for a cruise to the Westward.

9 Oct 1801 departed the Downs on a cruise.
