1 Dec 1804 the Hampshire Telegraph reports that the Venerable was lost last Saturday, having got underweigh with the rest of the fleet, from Torbay, but missed stays and went ashore on a reef of sunken rocks, and bilged almost immediately. The accident is said to have occurred as the man fishing for the anchor fell overboard, and in lowering a boat to save the man, another 2 men fell overboard. The ship was then hove to, to save them, and in the dark of the night drifted on shore, and having lost way were unable to lay off shore. The Goliath, Impetueux, and cutter Frisk, rescued all the officers and men barring 8, who could not be accounted for : boats were sent from Plymouth to rescue the stores, but she was already a total loss by the time they arrived.

12 and 14 Feb 1805 the Melampus, in Company with the Hired Cutters Frisk and Rhoda, captured French Gun Boats Nos. 169, 174, 277, 286. 287, and 311.

May 1805 Channel

15 Jul 1805 with the blockading squadron off Ferrol, under Sir Robert Calder : departed 30 to 40 leagues off Finisterre to intercept Franco-Spanish fleet from the West Indies. 22nd sighted each other. Signal made to engage the enemy - the engagement. The damage ; subsequent manoeuvres by the two fleets ; the wash-up ; 26 Jul 1805 movements of the fleet following the battle.

9 Nov 1805 prize and head money due to be paid shortly on captured French Gun Boats Nos. 169, 174, 277, 286. 287, and 311.

Late Apr - Early May 1806 Pallas demolished a number of signal-posts on the coast of La Vand�e, including one on the Pointe d'Eguillon, in the Pertuis Breton, in which the cutter Frisk and gun-brig Contest assisted.

June-Dec 1806 ADM 41/76 hired armed vessels, ships' musters for Frisk.
