6 Aug 1842 due to be launched at Portsmouth shortly.

12 Oct 1842 Jaseur re-commissioned at Portsmouth, with a complement of 130 men, although further reports suggest that the ship's company will be turned over from the Frolic?.

4 Nov 1842 commissioned by Commander Willis, who is turned over from the Jaseur.

26 Nov 1842 has been ordered to prepare for sea, destination unknown.

17 Dec 1842 in Portsmouth harbour.

6 Jul 1843 ran from ship's boats going ashore to the north of Cape Frio, near St. Anne's Islands, from which about 200 slaves were seen to be landed, a slave vessel, Name Unknown, supposed Emprehendedora, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at the Cape of Good Hope, and on 8 Nov 1843 sentenced to be condemned. 14 Aug 1843 found ashore north of the River Paraiba, Brazil, and was eventually broken up by the sea, a slave brig, Name Unknown, supposed Isabel, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at the Cape of Good Hope, and on 8 Nov 1843 sentenced to be condemned.

6 Sep 1843 detained in by one of the ship's boats near St. Anne's Island, off Campos, to the North of Cape Frio, one of the crew being killed, a slave schooner, Name Unknown, supposed Vencedora / Vincedora, with 348 slaves on board, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at the Cape of Good Hope, and on 5 Dec 1843 sentenced to be condemned, and the slaves emancipated.

6 Jan 45 detained the slave vessel Emprehendedora, or Empredador. 15 May 1849 proceeds arising due for payment - source per New Navy List.

14 Feb 45 detained a slave brigantine, Name Unknown and 2 launches. 15 May 1849 proceeds of Tonnage Bounty due for payment.

15 Jun 1845 departed to meet Sir George Seymour. [in the Pacific]

1846 South America and River Plate Station.

Feb 1847 Had departed for England, with upwards of $2 million onboard.

22 Mar 1847 Involved, with the Chilian vessel of war Magellan, in the salvage of the brig Canning.

10 July 1848 Commander Vansittart ; Experimental Squadron, Portsmouth - with the St Vincent.

20 Dec 1848 Mediterranean.

19 Mar 1851 balance of salvage due from the Canning now payable.

30 Aug 1851 Mediterranean.

21 Jun 1855 Frolic and Penelope provide salvage services to the Earl of Eglinton.

25 Jun 1855 It is reported at Sydney to be on cruise in pursuit of strange looking black craft seen by the Abraham off Table Bay, and by others at various places.

31 Dec 1856 in lat. 3� 49' S., long. 65� 15' E., for his half-yearly report regarding the slave trade reports that since July last had not observed anything whatever to make him suspect that the slave trade was in existence, excepting in the Portuguese territories.
