18 Feb 1797 captured the French privateer Tartane.

1 Jan 1799 Capt T Hardy, at Jamaica.

12 Feb-30 Mar 1799 the Carnatic, Maidstone, and Greyhound captured 4 merchant vessels whilst under the command of the CinC at Jamaica.

22 Jul � 27 Oct 1799 the Meleager and Greyhound captured 2 privateers : 1 of 12 guns, another of 2 guns ; and 6 merchant vessels.

5 Sep 1800 departed Spithead with a convoy for the Mediterranean

8 Mar to 2 Sep 1801 Services off the coast of Egypt.

6 Mar 1801 a Greek vessel, (name unknown,) laden with wine and snuff, bound to Alexandria; taken out from under the guns of Marabout, and scuttled by the boats of the Greyhound.

12 Mar 1801 a French aviso Madona di Santa Ceriaco, from Ancona bound to Alexandria, with troops, &c. ; taken by the Greyhound.

2 May 1801 the Spanish brig St. Antonio, from Barcelona bound to Alexandria, laden with ordnance stores ; taken by the Greyhound.

Circa 24 Jan 1802 Captain Alexander Campbell, the Salamine, apptd to the Greyhound frigate.

23 Sep 1802 departed Malta for Sardinia.

4 Sep 1802 arrived Oristagni Bay, Sardinia.

22 Oct 1802 remains Oristagni Bay, Sardinia, the fleet under the orders of Sir R. Bickerton, comprising the Kent, and Hector, 74 guns ; Agincourt, and Monmouth, of 64 ; Greyhound, 32 ; Weasel, brig ; and Thomas, which takes this letter. The reason for being here, 8 miles off shore, remains a secret, and even when going ashore the nearest habitation is reported to be 5 miles off. Whilst the lack of information regarding the ships' programmes is irksome, the ship's companies' are healthy.

14 Dec 1802 arrived Gibraltar in 14 days from Leghorn having recently visited a number of ports in the Mediterranean gathering intelligence, including Toulon 6 weeks ago, Cagliari, where the Dutch fleet was lying, and noted that the French appear to have reduced the number of troops in and around Genoa.

1 Feb 1803 the Dragon, Renown, Monmouth, Active, Greyhound, and Vincego, are reported to be lying in Gibraltar Bay.

2 Apr 1803 arrived Sheerness the Greyhound, from Gibraltar.

10 May 1803 has been paid off at Chatham.

Circa 4 Aug 1804 Capt C Elphinstone apptd to the Greyhound.

27 Nov 1804 arrived Spithead the Greyhound from off Havre.

18 Dec 1804 departed Spithead, on a cruise.

20 Dec 1804 arrived Spithead from a cruise due to the stress of the weather.

24 Dec 1804 departed Spithead on a cruise.

18 Jan 1805 captured the French privateer Vimereux in the Channel.

25--26 Jul 1806 Greyhound and Harrier captured the Dutch 36-gun frigate Pallas and the Dutch company's ships Vittoria and Batavia, [the latter 2 returning a tidy sum in prize money].
