Circa 29 Sep 1804 the Growler, Lieut Ives, has detained and sent into Spithead the Esperance, bound to Dieppe with coffee, indigo and sugar &c., which sailed yesterday to Cowes to be unloaded.

Circa 8 Dec 1804 Lieut Rose apptd to the Growler.

May 1805 Channel.

28 Jan 1806 captured the French privateer Voltigeur.

7 Mar - Apr 1809 had arrived in Basque roads. 11 Apr the use of fire ships, explosion-vessels, and Congreve rockets against the French fleet at Basque roads and the results thereof. 12 Apr attempt made to destroy grounded French vessels, following the previous night's attack. 13 Apr further attempt made to destroy grounded French vessels.

Falmouth 10 Jan 1810 Remains with convoy for Portugal and Mediterranean.

Falmouth 27 Jan 1810 departed with a convoy for Spain, Portugal and the Mediterranean.

Plymouth 7 Oct 1811 Having gone ashore in the storm on Saturday, has been floated off, and is now in the dock to be repaired.

Plymouth 14 Dec 1811 Sent in a French brig that was cut out a few days ago by the boats of the Diana, and Growler.

19 Jan 1812 Northumberland departed from off Ushant in search of two French frigates and a brig raiding merchant shipping in the Channel : discovered them off the Isle Groix on the 22nd, and with the Growler in company went in chase, driving all three ships on shore, and destroying them in sight of Lorient and under the protection of 3 shore batteries.

Plymouth 5 Oct 1812 Has detained and sent in a Prussian brig Sevee Freede, bound to Bordeaux.

Plymouth 15 Nov 1812 departed for the coast of France.
