8 Oct 1800 in St. John's Road, Antigua.

12 Dec 1800 Plymouth, a letter received at Saltash dated 13 Oct., reports the arrival of the armed schooner Gypsey, Lt C. Boger, with a French brig privateer, 10 guns, 45 seamen, and 57 soldiers, returning to Antigua, from Rigaud's expedition against Curacoa : this action was well fought on both sides for nearly two hours, and the fire of the musquetry of the French chasseurs was severe; the privateer attempted to run the Gypsey on board, but by the Gypsey's manoeuvring, and the persevering gallantry of Lt Boger, his Officers, and crew, a severe contest obliged her to strike her colours. Lt Boger and his master were wounded, and three or more men, some of whom were to die from their wounds. See the Naval Chronicle, vol 5, p. 165 for the commanding officer's report on the action and the Flag Officer's comments thereon.

9 Jan 1801 letters received at Plymouth from Lt C. Boger, of the Gypsey schooner, dated Antigua, state he is nearly recovered from his 3 wounds, after a most severe and well fought action with a French privateer, full of men, which he carried into that island.

Circa 19 Dec 1802 remained at Port Royal, Jamaica, the Goliath, Santa Margaritta, Woolwich, and Gypsey, when the Falmouth packet Aukland departed Port Royal for England.

11 Mar 1804 the Elephant, Theseus, Hercule, and Desiree, were at Port Royal Jamaica ; the Bellerophon and Vanguard, with the Tartar and Aeolus, were off the West end of St Domingo ; the Port Mahon, and Papillon brigs, off Port Morant ; the Hunter and Mignonne, off Montego Bay ; and the Flying Fish, and Gipsey, were off the coast of Cuba ; the Fairy had sailed for Honduras, and the Camel for Halifax.
