Circa 29 Aug 1803 Hon Capt Bennett apptd in command of the Hermes.

Circa 31 Oct 1803 the Repulse, Severn, Hermes, and Speedy, lying in Long Reach, in the Medway, have taken in their guns and powder, and wait only a fair wind to proceed to the Nore.

7 Nov 1803 departed Sheerness with a convoy for the Baltic.

16 Nov 1804 arrived Spithead, the Thisbe, armed en flute, Capt Shepheard, with the Hermes, armed ship, Capt Davie, with a convoy from the Downs.

8 Dec 1804 arrived Spithead the Hermes from the Downs.

11 Dec 1804 departed Spithead with a convoy for the Downs.

Circa 29 Dec 1804 Capt Westbeach apptd in command of the Hermes.

23-25 Apl 1805 was a part of a squadron which captured off Boulogne the Dutch Armed Schuyts Nos 43, 45, 48, 52, 54, and 57, and the unarmed Transport No 3.
