Notes:

31 Jul 1795 joined the Suffolk, Hobart, Centurion, Diomede and transports, the day prior to their arrival off Trincomalee, with a view to taking this and other Dutch settlements on the Island.

5 Feb 1796 arrived at Negombo, a squadron, including the Heroine, Captain Alan Hyde Gardner, with troops, with the object taking the important fortress of Colombo, Ceylon, which was achieved on the 15th.

1 Jan 1799 in ordinary at Portsmouth.

14 Mar 1800 Portsmouth, departed the Heroine, 32, Captain Hill.

8 Mar 1801 of the personnel employed disembarking the army in Aboukir Bay 1 seaman was wounded.

1 Feb 1802 arrived Spithead from Malta, last from Gibraltar.

9 Feb 1802 departed Spithead with the Cleopatra, 36, to the eastward, to be paid off.

10 Feb 1802 departed the Downs for Sheerness.

11 Feb 1802 arrived Sheerness, from Portsmouth, last from the Downs and departed later for the River Thames, the Phaeton, Cleopatra, Heroine and Volage, to be paid off.

1802-03 fitted out as a floating battery.

Circa 24 Sep 1803 the Unite, 40 ; Modeste, 38 ; Heroine, 32 ; Solebay, 32 ; Daedalus, 32 ; Quebec, 32 ; Iris, 32 ; Retribution, 32 ; Vestal, 28 ; Resource, 28, are to be jury rigged and to depart shortly for Long Reach, to take in their guns and power ; after which they'll drop down to the Lower Hope, to be moored across the River for the protection of the Thames. The manning of these vessels will be the responsibility of the Trinity Board.
