13 Nov 1828 Horatio, tender to the Eden, detained, off Fernando Po, the Dutch slave schooner La Coquette, Emile Vincent, master, with 220 slaves on board, which was condemned on 26 Jan 1829 by the British and Netherlands Mixed Court of Justice at Sierra Leone and on 16 Dec 1828 sentenced to be condemned and the surviving 183 slaves emancipated.

2 Dec 1828 departed with the French slave brig Neirs�e, alias Estafette, with 280 slaves on board, under a prize crew, to Sierra Leone for adjudication : en route to Sierra Leone 2 of the prize crew fell sick and were replaced by 2 of the original crew of Neirs�e who were serving on board the Horatio.

19 Dec 1828 the Neirs�e parted with the Horatio in a squall.

24 Dec 1828 the crew of Neirs�e over-powered the prize crew wounding 2 of the Eden's men in the process.

23 Jan 1829 the Neirs�e arrived at the French island of Deseada, before proceeding to Guadaloupe where the slaves were landed along with 9 free negroes known as Kroomen, who were treated as slaves by the French.
