23 Aug 1801 departed Sheerness, the Hunter, brig, Capt Jones, for Plymouth.

27 Aug 1801 came into Plymouth Sound the Hunter, with empty victuallers from the Channel Fleet.

29 Aug 1801 departed Plymouth to the Eastward.

10 Sep 1801 arrived Falmouth with the Brilliant, Gerard, with 300 ankers of spirits on board and the Lion cutter, detained by the Hunter, and departed the same evening.

12 Sep 1801 arrived Plymouth from a cruise in the Channel.

16 Sep 1801 departed Plymouth Sound on a cruise to the Westward.

19 Nov 1801 arrived Plymouth from a cruise in the Channel.

5 Feb 1802 arrived Falmouth, the Hunter, Capt Jones, from a cruise against the smugglers. Wind Southerly.

7 Feb 1802 departed Falmouth on a cruise.

24 Feb 1802 departed Falmouth the Amethyst, Capt Glynn ; Diamond, Capt Griffiths ; Immortalite, Capt Hotham ; and the Hunter brig, Jones, to cruise against the smugglers, wind westerly.

12 Mar 1802 arrived Plymouth Sound from Mounts Bay, the Hunter, 18, where she had been on shore on the rocks during the recent gales, and got off, though very leaky ; she made on her passage there four feet eight inches of waters hour, and could scarcely be kept free ; she went into dock on the same spring to have her bottom examined.

16 May 1802 arrived Falmouth, from a cruise, and departed shortly afterwards for Plymouth.

17 May 1802 arrived Plymouth Sound, from Falmouth.

21 Jun 1802 despatches received at Plymouth for the West Indies were put on board the Hunter, and she has been unmoored and lies at a single anchor in the Sound, and departs tomorrow, weather permitting.

22 Jun 1802 departed Plymouth with despatches for Jamaica and Martinique.

7 Sep 1802 came in to Plymouth Sound the Hunter, 18, from Jamaica, being disabled in the gale of wind on Friday, in company with the Nereide, 36, Captain R. Mends, also from Jamaica, being in company, took out her dispatches, but owing to a thick fog, she did not arrive till late last night.

Circa 20 Oct 1802 Captain Inglefield apptd to the Hunter.

6 Nov 1802 dropped down to Stonehouse Pool and remains.

21 Nov 1802 went down the harbour at Plymouth, the Hunter, 18, Captain Jones, and departed to the eastward.

22 Nov 1802 arrived Falmouth, with the Renard, and remained in Carrick Roads, with the brig Gannet.

7 Dec 1802 arrived Plymouth Sound from Cork, with 100 volunteer seamen for the ships of war fitting for sea at this port, the Hunter, 18, Captain Jones. Would then appear to have gone up into Hamoaze.

18 Dec 1802 came down from Hamoaze and went into Cawsand Bay to await orders.

28 Dec 1802 arrived Plymouth Sound with volunteer seamen from Cork and Dublin, having experienced very bad weather in the Irish Channel last Saturday and Sunday.

30 Dec 1802 went up the Harbour to refit.

11 Feb 1803 arrived Plymouth Sound, from Dublin and Liverpool, with volunteer seamen.

2 Apr 1803 departed Plymouth Sound to the Westward to press seamen.

7 Apr 1803 arrived in Torbay, (Brixham Quay).

11 Apr 1803 arrived Plymouth, from Dartmouth, with impressed men.

12 Apr 1803 departed Plymouth for a cruise.

13 Apr 1803 arrived Plymouth from a cruise.

11 Mar 1804 the Elephant, Theseus, Hercule, and Desiree, were at Port Royal Jamaica ; the Bellerophon and Vanguard, with the Tartar and Eolus, were off the West end of St Domingo ; the Port Mahon, and Papillon brigs, off Port Morant ; the Hunter and Mignonne, off Montego Bay ; and the Flying Fish, and Gipsey, were off the coast of Cuba ; the Fairy had sailed for Honduras, and the Camel for Halifax.

10 Jun 1804 captured the French privateer Liberte on the Jamaica station.

1805 captured the Spanish privateer Santa Rosa, schooner, 3 guns, 57 men.

May 1805 Jamaica Station

21 Sep 1806 on the Jamaica Station, captured, after a four hour chase, the Spanish letter of marque schooner San Joseph y Animas, bound from Truxello to Batabano with Indigo and Sarsaparilla. She was armed with a long eight-pounder and 15 small arms, and had only 13 men when taken and had landed despatches prior to her capture.

25 Jan 1807 captured the Spanish privateer Isabella, 3 guns, 64 men, on the Jamaica station.

28 Jul 1807 captured the French privateer Esperance on the Jamaica station,.
