Notes:

Between Oct 1797 & Mar 1798 destroyed a French privateer, name unknown, in the West Indies.

7 Feb 1798 captured the French privateer Fortun�e on the Jamaica station,.

1 Jan 1799 Capt. Samuel Brooking. On Jamaica station.

12 Feb-30 Mar 1799 captured 2 merchant vessels whilst under the command of the CinC at Jamaica.

25 Jul 1799 Plymouth, passed up the Channel with the East India, Jamaica, Lisbon, and Oporto fleets, under convoy of the Europa, Andromache, and Jamaica.

6 Jan 1801 arrived Sheerness, the Jamaica, Capt. Mackellar, with the Adder.

16 Jan 1801 came into harbour at Sheerness, to refit.

13 Mar 1801 went out of harbour to the Nore having been repaired and made ready for sea.

16 Mar 1801 departed Sheerness, the Jamaica, 24, Capt Rose.

19 Jul 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth with the Baltic fleet under the command of Adm Graves ; for the make up of the much reduced fleet click on : Defiance, flag ship.

22 Jul 1801 departed N. Yarmouth for the Nore.

22 Jul 1801 arrived in the Downs, wind E.S.E.

23 Jul 1801 Wind ENE. departed the Downs on a cruise.

28 Jul 1801 off Boulogne, per a letter received from an officer on board.

15-16 Aug 1801 the ship's boats were involved in an unsuccessful cutting out operation at Boulogne and suffered the following casualties : 1 officer, Mr. Alexander Rutherford, Master's Mate, 3 seamen killed ; 1 officer, Lieutenant Jeremiah Skelton, 4 seamen, 4 marines wounded. Total 13.

20/21 Aug 1801 ship's boats and vessels involved in action in the neighbourhood of Etaples.

23 Aug 1801 arrived in the Downs from a cruise on the French coast. Wind E.N.E.

29 Aug 1801 departed the Downs for a cruise on the Coast of France.

14 Oct 1801 departed the Downs on a cruise.

20 Nov 1801 remains in the Downs, in company with the Overyssel, &c.

30 Nov 1801 the Nemesis arrived back in the Downs, with the Arrow, and Charger, and remains with the Overyssel, Amazon, Alkmaar, Medusa, Brilliant, Jamaica ; Gannet, and Galgo.

30 Dec 1801 the Isis and Jamaica remain in dock at Sheerness.

25 Jan 1802 went out of dock and remains at Sheerness.

22 Jul 1802 head money for those present at the Engagement at Copenhagen, on the 2d April 1801, due for payment.

14 Feb 1802 remains at Sheerness the Hebe, Jamaica, Ambuscade (Dutch), Raison, frigates ; Hermes, sloop ; Harpy, Speedwell, brigs ; with 19 gun brigs ; and the Dolphin cutter.

5 Mar 1802 the Jamaica has gone out of Sheerness harbour, to the Nore, having been refitted.

15 Apr 1802 remains at the Nore with the Amphion, &c.

3 May 1802 departed Sheerness, on a cruise.

10 May 1802 departed Yarmouth for the Northward.

11 Aug 1802 arrived Spithead the Jamaica, 36, Captain Rose, from the Downs.

22 Aug 1802 departed Spithead to the Eastward.

2 Sep 1802 arrived N. Yarmouth from Spithead and a cruise.

19 Sep 1802 departed N. Yarmouth, the Jamaica on a cruise to the Southward.

9 Oct 1802 arrived N. Yarmouth Roads, from a cruise, and remains with the Mallard.

26 Oct 1802 arrived in N. Yarmouth Roads, from a cruise.

31 Oct 1802 arrived in the Downs from Yarmouth.

1 Nov 1802 the wind having gone round to the East departed the Downs for N. Yarmouth.

2 Nov 1802 departed N. Yarmouth.

5 Nov 1802 arrived in the Downs from N. Yarmouth.

26 Nov 1802 remains in the Downs with the Immortalite, Topaze, Jamaica frigates ; Arrow and Bittern sloops ; Snipe, Vixen, and Bloodhound gun brigs.

24 Dec 1802 remain in the Downs the Penelope, Capt Broughton ; Immortalite, Owen ; and Jamaica, Rose, frigates ; and Arrow, Vincent ; Driver, Fane, sloops.

24 Jan 1802 remain in the Downs the Immortalite, Jamaica, and Arrow.

26 Jan 1803 departed the Downs for Spithead.

30 Jan 1803 departed Spithead for Limerick to enter seamen.

12 May 1803 arrived Plymouth, from Ireland, with volunteers and impressed men.

19 Jun 1803 captured the Jeune Corallie.

30 Jun 1803 arrived Plymouth, from the Channel Fleet, the Jamaica, Capt Rose.

2 Jul 1803 departed Plymouth on a cruise.

28 Jul 1803 departed Spithead to join the Channel Fleet.

13 Aug 1803 captured the French privateer Fanny on the Home station.

17 Aug 1803 arrived Plymouth with a small French privateer cutter, which she captured to the westward....presumably the Fanny ?

17 Aug 1803 departed Cawsand Bay on a cruise.

18 Aug 1803 10 pm ; appeared off Falmouth, when reportedly en route for the West Indies.

23 Sep 1803 arrived Plymouth Sound from the Eastward and made a signal for a convoy to the Eastward and departed later in the evening with the trade for the Downs, and the River.

26 Sep 1803 departed Plymouth, the Jamaica, with the East Indiaman Anna Maria, from Bengal, and a convoy of 12 brigs and sloops for the River.

4 Oct 1803 arrived Plymouth from a cruise, to await orders.

5 Oct 1803 departed Plymouth Sound on a cruise.

11 Oct 1803 arrived Plymouth Sounded from a cruise.

13 Oct 1803 departed the Sound on a cruise.

13 Nov 1803 came down the Hamoaze, the Jamaica, Capt Ross, having been refitted, into the Sound and departed for the Eastward.

15 Nov 1803 arrived Brixham yesterday and sailed again this morning.

23 Nov 1803 arrived Plymouth from a cruise with the loss of her foremast and bowsprit in the hurricane of Monday night.
