5 Dec 1846, the yacht Kestrel was purchased into the service for �2,727 : 0s. 0d, and included in a return to Parliament dated 5 Mar 1847, detailing all the vessels purchased into the Service by the Admiralty since 1830 - Accounts and Papers for the House of Commons Vol. 37.

22 Jun 1848 detained the slave vessel Bella Maria, which was sent for adjudication to the Vice-Admiralty Court at St. Helena and sentenced to be condemned.
