Early Oct 1866 had taken the Governor of Sierra Leone to the Mellicouri River and to the Isles de Los. The crew were healthy.

14 Oct 1866 at Sierra Leone. Commander H.L.A.L. Maitland in command, was shortly to proceed to the Pongas River to investigate unsubstantiated reports regarding slave trading in the region and would then depart for the South Coast circa 18 Oct.
