Notes:

Circa 31 Dec 1814 under the command of Alex. Frazer, based on the Plymouth Station, and responsible to the English Board.

27 Jul 1816 prize money due following the seizure 379� gallons of spirits.

Plymouth 14 Dec 1816 arrived from a cruise.

Plymouth 20 Jan 1817 Is on shore and bilged in Mill Bay, but it is hoped will be got off when the gale abates: crew saved.

Plymouth 13 Aug 1817 rewards due to be paid for having seized over 200 gallons of spirits on 2 Mar., and 800+ gallons on 15 Mar 1817.

Plymouth 24 Jan 1818 arrived from a cruise, with the Drake.

1l May 1818 seventeen casks of spirits seized. Shares due will be paid out at Plymouth, on 29 Dec 1818.

Plymouth 30 Dec 1819 departed on a cruise.

Plymouth 30 Dec 1819 arrived from a cruise.

29 Sep 1824 whilst lying off Flamborough Head in a gale, under storm-sails, observed a balloon approaching, which fell into the sea and disappeared a few miles to windward. An attempt was made to rescue the occupants, but the weather made this impossible.

14 Dec 1839 Mate J. A. Hire, appointed Chief Officers of Coast Guard and to the Lapwing, R. C.

21 Dec 1839 J. A. Hire, from Lapwing, revenue cruiser, appointed Chief Officer of the Coast Guard and to the coast of Kent

6 Oct 1840 Lieutenant James Lester, appointed from the Coastguard in command of the Lapwing, based at Grimsby.

20 Dec 1848 Revenue Vessel.

NB I have no knowledge regarding when vessels were built or broken up for the Revenue Service, so these notes may well cover one or more vessels.
