26 Jan 1801 departed Sheerness, the Leyden, Capt Bedford, for N. Yarmouth.

12 Mar 1801 following the departure of the North Sea fleet earlier this morning, from Yarmouth, for Copenhagen, the Princess of Orange remains in the Roads at N. Yarmouth, under the command of Adm. Dickson, with the Monmouth, Agincourt, Leyden, and Madras, 64s ; and Assistance, 50 ; with the Ariadne, Solebay and Waakzamheid, frigates ; and the Liberty cutter, and Pouncer gun brig.

27 Mar 1801 during the day the North Sea Fleet departed N. Yarmouth, for a cruise off Holland, including : the Prince of Orange, 64, Adm. Dixon's flag ship, Agincourt, 64, Monmouth, 64, Leyden, 64 ; Assistance, 50, Madras, 50, ; 3 frigates, including the Iris ; a sloop ; and the Attack gun brig &c.

2 Apr 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth Adm. Dixon's North Sea Fleet from a cruise off the coast of Holland.

12 Apr 1801 departed N. Yarmouth, on a cruise off the coast of Holland, a squadron from Adm. Dickson's North Sea Fleet, including the the Princess of Orange, flag ship for Adm. Dickson, with the Leyden, Madras, Monmouth, Texel, Agincourt, Bittern sloop, and Hart and Cobourg cutters.

15 Apr 1801 arrived this morning at N. Yarmouth from a cruise off Goree, a squadron from Adm. Dickson's North Sea Fleet, which appears to have changed somewhat since it departed : the Princess of Orange, Leyden, Assistance, Monmouth, Madras, Agincourt, Latona, Waarzaamheid, Shark, Diligence, Drake and Wright armed ship.

16 May 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth Adm. Dickson's squadron, from a cruise off Goree, consisting of the Princess of Orange, Leyden, Agincourt, Texel, Madras, Assistance, Squirrel, Hart, brig ; Speculator, lugger ; Bittern, sloop ; and Griffin, cutter.

2 Jun 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth last night the following vessels, under the command of Adm Dickson, from a cruise off the coast of Holland : Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Texel, and Assistance ; the Solebay, and Waakzamheit, frigates ; and Phoenix and Liberty, cutters.

8 Jun 1801 Adm Dickson's squadron departed N. Yarmouth for a cruise on the Coast of Holland with the Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Texel, Assistance, Solebay frigate ; Ariadne sloop ; and Liberty cutter.

15 Jun 1801 Adm Dickson's squadron arrived N. Yarmouth from a cruise off the Coast of Holland with the Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Standard, Assistance ; Ranger sloop ; Jalouse, brig ; Phoenix and Speculator, Luggers ; and Hazard, Liberty and Diligent, cutters.

21 Jun 1801 Adm Dickson's squadron departed N. Yarmouth for a cruise on the Coast off Goree, consisting of the Blenheim, flag ship ; Assistance, Leyden, Princess of Orange, Brunswick, Standard ; Bittern sloop ; and Liberty cutter.

13 Jul 1801 arrived in the Downs the Leyden, Capt Bedford, from the North Sea.

14 Jul 1801 departed the Downs early this morning for Spithead.

19 Jul 1801 arrived from the Downs the Texel and Leyden.

21 Jul 1801 the women are this day turned on shore from the Leyden man of war, and it is expected she will sail shortly.

22 Jul 1801 departed Spithead for the Downs.

2 Aug 1801 departed the Downs the Leyden with several gun-vessels and revenue cutters to the coast of France.

15-16 Aug 1801 the ship's boats were involved in an unsuccessful cutting out operation at Boulogne and suffered the following casualties : 8 seamen, 3 marines, killed ; and 5 officers (Lieutenants Thomas Oliver, Francis Dickenson, badly ; Captain Young, RM, badly ; Mr. Francis Burney, Master's Mate ; Mr. Samuel Spratley, Midshipman,) 20 seamen, 15 marines wounded. Total 51.

30 Aug 1801 departed the Downs for Margate Roads.

9 Sep 1801 the Overyssel, Magicienne, Amazon, Leyden, Alkmaar, York, Isis, Shannon, Gannet, Hound, Gier, and Autumn sloops ; Volcano, Vesuvius, Terror, Discovery, Zebra bombs ; Victoire, Nancy & Akers, fire ships ; the Locust, Plumper, Bold, Eclipse, Ferriter, Snipe, Minx, Jackall, and Mallard, gun vessels, apart from seven gun brigs who were about to depart that evening with the Eugenie and Diligence for the Coast of France ; remained in the Downs overnight.

14 Sep 1801 a Court-Martial was held on board HM ship Leyden, at Deal, on the Master of the Terror bomb, for neglect, &c. of duty. The charges being fully proved, he was dismissed the Service.

25 Sep 1801 remains in the Downs, the Overyssel, Leyden, Alkmaar ; sloops Hound, Arrow ; bombs Volcano, Vesuvius, Terror, Zebra, and Hecla ; Snipe, gun vessel ; Nancy, Akers, Victoire, and Ferret, Fire vessels.

4 Oct 1801 arrived in the Downs from Dungeness with Lord Nelson and the Leyden.

8 Oct 1801 Commodore Sutton shifts his pennant from the Leyden to the Isis, and remains in the Downs.

12 Nov 1801 arrived at Sheerness from the Downs.

27 Nov 1801 departed Sheerness for Chatham to be paid off.

16 Dec 1801 early in the morning since there was no wind last night returned to the Downs from off Boulogne and remains.

17 Apr 1803 the Texel, Leyden, and Vlieter, are nearly ready at Chatham.

10 May 1803 the Texel, Leyden, Beschermer, and Cerberus are now awaiting a wind at Chatham to drop down to Long Reach to embark their guns and powder &c.

13 May 1803 the Texel, Leyden, and Cerberus departed Chatham for Long Reach.

22 Sep 1803 on board the Leyden an accident happened following an argument : Midshipmen Moody said to Midshipman Parks, having picked up a pistol "Now if I was going to it in earnest, I should soon do for you," and fired the pistol, instantly killing the young man, not realising it was loaded.

May 1805 Chatham to refit in Ordinary ; Floating Battery.

7 Aug 1807 arrived Copenhagen with a large convoy of transports for the siege and bombardment of Copenhagen 15 Aug - 20 Oct 1807 and capture of Danish Fleet by Adm. Gambier.

Portsmouth 2 Jan 1810 Came into harbour.

24 June 1811 Reported to be at Gibraltar.

Falmouth 25 Aug 1811 arrived.

Portsmouth 29 Aug 1811 arrived with a convoy from Lisbon.
