6 Jan 1840 Malta, departed Sunday last for Marseilles with the East India mail.

28 Feb 1840 arrived at Malta from Alexandria with the East Indies mail.

11 Mar 1840 at Malta.

25 June 1840 Malta, was expected shortly with the London mail.

6 Jul 1840 Mr J. Whitehair, whilst walking on deck after dark, fell down the hatchway over the stoke-hole, and died on the Monday.

16 Aug 1840 Malta, arrived yesterday from Gibraltar, with the London mails of the 1st inst., and will proceed to-day with those for the Ionian Islands and Greece.

3 Sep 1840 Malta, proceeded to Gibraltar with mails for England.

14 Dec 1840 Marmorice Bay, arrived from Alexandria.

14 Jan 1841 Malta, Megaera arrived from Marmorice, which she left on the 9th.

12 Feb 1841 at Malta.

20 Jun 1841 arrived St Thomas, from Jamaica, with mail for England, and departed the same day.

25 Nov 1841 departed Barbadoes for Plymouth.

29 Dec 1841 arrived Plymouth from North America and the West Indies, last from Barbadoes. When at Antigua circa Sep - Oct 1841 it would appear that only 2 officer, 5 men and 2 boys, of the ship's company of 51, were fit enough to perform their duties ; 7 men, her commanding officer, Lt. Goldsmith, and master and chief engineer being lost to the fever.

29 Dec 1841 arrived Plymouth from Barbadoes, in 33 days, with 2 officers and 21 ORs (army).

2 Jan 1842 departed Plymouth for Woolwich.

3 Jan 1842 arrived Portsmouth from Plymouth.

5 Jan 1842 departed Portsmouth with Powerful's marines for Woolwich and to be paid off.

26 Mar 1842 undergoing repairs at Woolwich.

12 Nov 1842 has been fitted at Woolwich with tubular boilers, Hall's condensers and Hall's smoke consuming apparatus and was commissioned yesterday.

17 Dec 1842 departed Woolwich for Plymouth Sound, where it is rumoured the ship's company will be paid, whilst the vessel awaits orders.
