14 Feb 1814 Menelaus, with the Rippon in sight, recaptured the large richly-laden Spanish ship San-Juan-de-Baptista.

Plymouth 21 Feb 1814 Sent in the Spanish ship St. Juan Baptiste, from Lima, bound to Cadiz, captured and recaptured on the 2 Feb. between Madeira and the Azores.

Plymouth 19 Apr 1814 arrived from a cruise to the westward.

Off Scilly 15 May 1814 Reported to be en route for Bayonne and thence to America.

17 Aug 1814 Menelaus sent up the Chesapeake, above Baltimore, to create a diversion during the attack on the Federal Capital.

30 Aug 1814 unsuccessful expedition ashore.

Aug 1814 a portion of the prize money resulting from the various actions in the Chesapeake became due for payment on 1 May 1835 : namely a dividend from the estate of the bankrupt agent Henry Abbott : no doubt one of the many fraudsters who ripped off matelots in those days : both officers and ratings being fair game.

20 Mar 1815, wind and weather etc. permitting, was supposed to be departing Charleston, at the end of the war.

1832 Quarantine hulk.

Oct 1844 Quarantine hulk brought from Stangate Creek to Chatham for repairs, and when these are completed is to be taken to Portsmouth to be used as a Quarantine hulk at the Motherbank.

19 Dec 1848 Accepted sick from the Convict Ship Hasemey which called in at Portsmouth en route from the River Thames to NSW with a number of cases of cholera and diarrhoea, as directed by HMS Victory's surgeon.

20 Dec 1848 Quarantine service, Motherbank ie Spithead, off the Isle of Wight.
