May 1803 Lieut J Talbot apptd to the armed cutter Minerva

20 Jun 1803 detained the French privateer La Gabrielle, with 20 men, and small arms, brought into Dover by Lt Talbot. She had taken a brig of and for Chepstow, laden with planks, which was re-captured by the Minerva.

27 Jul 1803 arrived Spithead the Minerva cutter, Lt Talbot, from convoying the outward bound West Indiamen, which she left in lat 45� long 9� 30', under charge of the Blanche, all well, with a favourable wind.

5 Sep 1803 departed Spithead on a cruise.

4 Nov 1803 arrived Spithead from the Downs, the Minerva, Lieut Talbot.

14 Nov 1803 arrived Spithead from the Needles.

15 Nov 1803 departed Spithead with 2 vessels under convoy, laden with arms and stores for Ireland.

5 Dec 1803 arrived Spithead from Dublin.

6 Dec 1803 departed Spithead on a cruise.

12 Dec 1803 arrived Portsmouth the hired cutter Princess Augusta with reports that the frigate Shannon, Capt E L Gower, on Sunday last, got ashore close under the batteries of La Hogue, and was immediately surrounded by a number of French boats and her crew taken prisoner and her stores removed. The cutters Pigmy and Minerva, with several armed vessels, were sent in to attempt to destroy her, which could not be achieved, however, it appears that she has since gone to pieces in the recent bad weather.

18 Apr 1804 departed Spithead on a cruise.

24 Apr 1804 departed Spithead with 7 empty transports for Cork, to take on board troops.

11 May 1804 arrived Spithead with 7 transports with the 17th Regt from Cork.

16 May 1804 departed Spithead on a cruise off Brighton.

Circa 11 Aug 1804 Lieut Gilham apptd to the Minerva.

12 Oct 1804 departed Spithead, for Portsmouth harbour.

17 Oct 1804 departed Spithead with three transports under convoy for Cowes ; to take the 44th Regt from thence to Guernsey ; and bring back the 57th Regt.

9 Dec 1804 the hired armed cutters Minerva, Spider, Industry and Marsden, have been discharged from the Service at Portsmouth.
