Staff of Haulbowline Hospital placed on a permanent footing
We beg leave most humbly to represent to Your Majesty that since the year 1843 the Sick Patients from Your Majesty's Ships on the Irish Station have continuously occupied the Naval Hospital at Haulbowline, and that the duties of the Hospital have been performed by Officers borne on the Books of Your Majesty's Ships on that Station, but as there is no probability of any diminution of the duties hitherto executed by the Officers thus temporarily employed, we would humbly submit that the Staff of this Hospital be placed upon a permanent footing, similar to that in the other Naval Medical Establishments, with the following Officers, viz. :

Staff Surgeon, Assistant Surgeon, and 1 Clerk, 2nd Class, with a salary of 195 per annum, rising by 15 per annum to 300.

The Lords Commissioners of Your Majesty's Treasury have signified their concurrence with this arrangement.
