26 Jan 1801 Captain Captain Evans appointed as Regulating Captain, in the room of S. Moriarty, Esq. promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral of the White.

Circa Jan 1801 Captain Joseph Hanwell is appointed to the Regulating Service, at Exeter, in the room of Captain Skinner, removed to the command of the Sea Fencibles on the coast of Devon.

13 Mar 1803 Capt Barker apptd Regulating Captain at Bristol.

27 Mar 1803 ordered to Gravesend, under Captain Motley, Regulating Officer there, presumably to provide a base and accommodation from which to impress men from the large amount of merchant shipping that passes through that place, who can then be transferred to the passing tenders from the Tower &c. and sent on to join the fleet, usually through the receiving ships at the Royal Dockyards.
