Former Prince Regent, late Netley, renamed Niagra.

1830 Lake Ontario.

1838 The Commodore of H.M. ships on the Lakes was Captain Williams Sandom, of the Niagara, 20, who was able to save the towns of Brockville and Prescott from destruction. When the latter town was attacked on 13 Nov 1838, Sandom's force, aiding the troops, was instrumental in driving back the rebels, and forcing them to surrender. 28 Jul 1839 Mate Michael Murphy Duncan, and Malcolm R. Dyett ; Mr. M R. Dyett, appointed to the Niagara.

Apr 1840 being used as a receiving and depot ship on the Lakes.

23 Jul 1840 Chippewa, Mr. Hatch, supernumerary gunner of the Niagara, appointed gunner of the new steamer Queen.

31 Oct 1840 Mate John Elliott, (1834.) of the Niagara, promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

8 May 1841 Lieutenant William Rees Davies, appointed to the Niagara;

Apr 1842 on the Canadian Lakes.

24 Sep 1842 it is reported that Lt G Western is to be court martialled at Halifax.
