14 Jan 1900 To be floated out of the dock on the day after tomorrow.

1 Dec 1901 arrived at Gibraltar and leaves on the 4th for Malta.

Our Latest Cruiser
The third class cruiser Pandora, with a speed at full power of about 20 knots, was on Wednesday floated out of the dock in which she was built at Portsmouth. The christening ceremony was performed by Mrs. Napier, daughter of Sir M. Culme-Seymour, who wished "Success to Pandora and all who sail in her."

The engines for the Pandora have been made in Portsmouth Dockyard. Steam is to be supplied by eight water-tube boilers of the Thornycroft type. Her armament will include eight four inch quick-firing guns.

[The former SETI, 3,099 gross ton cargo ship, built 1902 by Sir Raylton Dixon & Co, Middlesbrough for the Moss SS Co, Liverpool.]

1913 Purchased by the Admiralty and renamed PANDORA. 1914 converted to submarine depot ship and reported to have served at Harwich during the war.

In 1922 at Rosyth as mother ship to the 1st Submarine Squadron.

1922 transferred to Chatham.

1923 to Portsmouth for use as accommodation ship for Dolphin submarine school.

23 Nov 1939 mined and sunk off Blyth while in tow, was to be stripped for use as a blockship.
