6 Dec 1823 announced that the Admiralty have appointed the Magnet, Rinaldo, Beagle, Emulous, Plover, Cygnet, and Kingfisher to be based at Falmouth, and to act as regular packets between the UK and S. America, [this to include the West Indies too].

11 Mar 1824 arrived Falmouth from Portsmouth in company with the packet Cygnet.

1 Apr 1824 The Grasshopper, having been involved in a collision off Portland departed Falmouth for Plymouth to make good damage caused when in the collision and in her absence the packet Plover will make up the Grasshopper's convoy for the Mediterranean as the vessels arrive and give them instructions accordingly until she returns.

6 Apr 1824 Grasshopper arrived Falmouth from Plymouth and took over convoy duties from Plover.

9 Apr 1824 departed Falmouth, for Gibraltar, Malta and Corfu.

29 Jan 1832 arrived at Jamaica, from Falmouth.

8 May 1832 arrived at Plymouth from Mexico, having departed Vera Cruz 18 Mar., with mails and freight worth $150,000.

30 Dec 1833 arrived Plymouth from Lisbon (22) and Oporto (26).

2 Jan 1834 arrived Falmouth from Plymouth.

15 May 1841 at Chatham, to be sold out of the service.
