TO be re-sold by publick Roup, within the House of John M'Kechany, Vintner, in Greenock, on Wednesday the 6 Jan 1796, at 12 o'clock, the Cutter or Vessel, Rover, (formerly called the Prince of Wales, and then employed in the Service of the Revenue of Excise in Scotland) of the Burthen of 144 28/94ths Tons, with all her Tackle, Stores, and Furniture, as she at present lies in the Harbour of Greenock, together with a Quantity of Iron Ballast. The above Vessel is about Eight Years old, stout built, and a remarkable fast Sailer, pierced for Fourteen Guns, and mounts Eight Twelve Pounder Carronades and Two long Six-Pounders. She is Well found in every Respect, and has a British Register. The Inventory and Conditions of Sale to be seen with Hunter Robertson and Co. Merchants, in Greenock, who will shew the Vessel and Materials any Time betwixt and the Day of Sale.
The above Vessel was purchased, in the Month of April last, from the said Hunter Robertson and Co. by William Freizer, of Tweedmouth in the County of Northumberland, and Part of the agreed Price paid by him ; but he having left Tweedmouth, and (is the said Hunter Robertson and Cc. are informed) gone Abroad, without receiving the Vessel or paying up the Balance nf the Price, she is now to be sold on Account and at the Risque of the said William Freizer: And these Particulars are inserted in this Advertisement, in order that he may obtain Information of the intended Sale, and, if so inclined, to pay the Balance of the agreed Price, and receive the Vessel.
