Prince of Wales, <-1826-1848->
Type: Revenue cruiser ;
Notes:

There appear to be 2 Revenue Cruisers in the British Isles during this period, one based in Scotland and this one in the South West and Southern Ireland ; dare I suggest a third ? I think I'll leave well alone.

10 Nov 1826 arrived Milford, for sails.

10 Nov 1826 remains at Milford.

25 Jul 1832 departed Plymouth for Cork.

16 Aug 1832 In the Cove of Cork, refitting after sailing trials.

25-29 Aug 1832 V.-Adm. Sir P. Malcolm's squadron, including the Donegal(flag), Castor, Tyne, Trinculo, Nimrod, and the revenue cruiser Prince of Wales, along with the Vernon, Dryad, Snake and Dee assembled at Torbay for sailing trials, and were joined by the Stag on Thursday, just arrived from off Oporto. The Board of Admiralty arrived on the 27th from Portsmouth, in the Lightning, and observed some of the relative sailing qualities of the vessels taking part in the trials, before departing for Plymouth. The results for the Prince of Wales were well received.

20 Dec 1848 Revenue Vessel.

NB I have no knowledge regarding when vessels were built or broken up for the Revenue Service, so these notes may well cover one or more vessels.
