15 Oct 1801 last night was exhibited the grandest spectacle, on the glorious news of peace, ever seen in the west of England, The following corps assembled on the lines at Dock : the 29th regiment, 1st Devon, 2d Royal Lancashire, 2d Royal Surrey, Plymouth (or Prince, of Wale's) Volunteers, Plymouth Blues, Langmead's Volunteers. A second discharge of artillery took place, followed by three excellent feu de joies from the whole line ; each fire was answered by three cheers from the French prisoners on board seven prison ships in Hamoaze. The night being gloomy, the coup l'oeil hid a very fine, grand, and magnificent effect : the hills and high grounds were lined with thousands of spectators to witness the beautiful sight.

20 Feb 1802 the Prudent (prison ship), was paid off, and her crew discharged on board the slop ship Resolue, in Hamoaze. The Europa (prison ship), and Sampson (prison ship), will be paid off next week, and the crews discharged on board the Cambridge.

13 Oct 1802 so great a quantity of powder has been landed at Plymouth from the different ships paid off here, that Keyhorn Point magazines are full, and the Prudent store ship, has been fitted up in the lower part of the harbour to receive powder.

16 Dec 1802 it has been announced that the Prudent has been ear-marked by the Admiralty to be broken up, since she's not worth repairing......however it would appear that this must have been postponed until a later date....see above.
