12 Dec 1809 operation by a small squadron to cut out the French 16-gun brig-corvette Nisus, from the harbour of Hayes, which was added to the British navy under name of Gaudaloupe.

11 Jan 1810 with a squadron off Basse-terre bay, island of Guadaloupe, when the Scorpion was detailed to bring out the French 16-gun brig-corvette Oreste, which after a long chase she achieved.

Formerly the Spanish slave schooner Maria de la Conception.

24 Sep 1830 Puss, tender to the Medina, detained in lat. 4� 22' N. long. 8� 20' E., when bound from the River Old Calabar to Havana, the Spanish slave brigantine Pajarito, Fortunato Romero, master, with 293 slaves on board, which was sent for adjudication to the British and Spanish Mixed Court of Justice, Sierra Leone, and the Pajarito being sentenced to be restored to her Master, and her surviving cargo of 233 slaves having been put ashore on 27 Oct and emancipated, prior to the Pajarito's departure for Havana. The failure of the case was due to the fact that the Puss had not been provided with the necessary warrant by the Lords of the Admiralty to make captures under the slave-trade restriction Treaties and the Medina not coming up or not able to come up to the Puss to make the official arrest as arranged.
