Portsmouth 2 Oct 1785 Has come into harbour.

14 Apr 1793, Queen 98, Rear-admiral Gardner, Captain John Hutt, Duke, 98, Captain the Honourable George Murray, Hector, 74, Captain George Montagu, Monarch 74, Captain Sir James Wallace, with one or two others, and a division of transports with British and French Royalist troops arrived at Martinique with a view to taking the island from the French, which ended in failure, and Rear-admiral Gardner's squadron returning to England.

Jul 1793 Queen and Surprise privateer captured the French privateer Ami de Planteur.

2 May - 1 Jun 1794 Departure of the Channel Fleet from St. Helen's, and the lead up to actions and manoeuvres with the French fleet. 29 May - 1 Jun., what was to be known as the Battle of the Glorious 1st June commences, resulting in the capture of six sail of the line and one sunk. Review of the part performed by each British ship engaged. 13 Jun, the fleet arrived back in home ports.

14 Feb 1795 the Channel fleet departed from Torbay for a brief cruise and to see various convoys safe out of the Channel.

12 Jun 1795 the Channel Fleet, under Lord Bridport, including the Queen, Vice-adm. (b.) Sir Alan Gardner, Captain William Bedford, departed from Spithead for Quiberon bay. 22 Jun sighted the French fleet to west of Belle-Isle, and finding the French admiral had no wish for a fight, ordered the Fleet in chase and to engage as ships came up. During the chase the former British 74, Alexander was retaken, along with the French 74s Tigre and Formidable (subsequently renamed Belleisle). And so ended the Battle of the Isle de Groix.

20 Sep 1795 Lord Bridport remained with his fleet off the coast protecting the ill-conceived Quiberon Bay expeditions until 20 Sep, when he returned with 2 or 3 ships to Spithead, leaving Rear-admiral Harvey in command.

15-16 Apr 1797 St. Domingo: operation mounted to capture or destroy the French 36-gun frigate Hermione, or Harmonie.

23 Jun 1798 arrived Port Royal, Jamaica.

Between Jun 1798 and Feb 1799 the boats of the Queen and Lark cut out a French privateer, name unknown, from Part Nieu, West Indies.

Between Jun 1798 and 10 Feb 1799 captured the Spanish privateer L'Aimable Marseilles, sloop, 4 guns, 40 men, on the Jamaica station.

Circa 1 Sep 1800 Lt Hancock, late of the Queen, on the Jamaica station, is promoted to the rank of Master and Commander.

24 Sep 1800 Plymouth, by letters from Jamaica, of 3 Aug last, it appears that the August fleet of 170 sail, departed from Bleufields the 1 Aug under care of the Queen, 98, 2 frigates, and the Busy, 18, and now arrived.

14 Apr 1804 departed Portsmouth harbour for Spithead.

Circa 21 Apr 1804 dropt down from Spithead to St Helen's.

Circa 28 Apr 1804 Capt M Dixon, apptd to the Queen.

Circa 12 May 1804 has returned to Spithead from St Helen's.

23 May 1804 departed Spithead to join the Channel Fleet.

Circa 25 Aug 1804 arrived Plymouth from the Channel Fleet.

Circa 9 Sep 1804 the Ajax, Defiance, Majestic, and Queen are reported at Portsmouth to have departed Plymouth to join the Channel Fleet.

12 May 1805 the Queen and Dragon, with a convoy of troops from England rendez-vous with Nelson's fleet off Cape St.-Vincent: the Royal-Sovereign is detached to the convoy.

22 Aug 1805 arrived off Cadiz with 3 sail of the line.
