23 Jun 1831 in Portsmouth Harbour.
12 Aug 1831 departed Portsmouth for the Downs, Lieut. T. Hodges, in command.
27 Aug 1831 arrived St. Helens from the Downs, with the fleet under Sir E. Codrington and anchored at six o'clock on the evening of the 28th, and moved up to Spithead the next day.
11 Sep 1831 departed Portsmouth for Oporto.
25 Sep 1831 arrived Cork with the squadron under the command of Sir Edward Codrington, and departed for Plymouth and Portsmouth 15th Oct.
18 Oct 1831 arrived Spithead from Cork, last from the Downs.
29 Oct 1831 the squadron under the command of Rear- Admiral Warren, weighed anchor from the Downs for the Scheldt, but, on approaching the Dutch coast, the squadron met with a severe gale and thick weather, when the Admiral ordered them to disperse and make the best of their way back to the Downs.
7 Nov 1831 departed Portsmouth for Helvoetsluys with despatches.

19 Jan 1832 departed Spithead for Guernsey and Jersey.
1 Feb 1832 arrived Spithead with the Pantaloon, from a cruise.
7 Feb 1832 departed Spithead on a cruise.

6 Mar 1832 arrived Spithead.
8 Mar 1832 departed Spithead for Cork.
26 Mar 1832 arrived Spithead from a cruise.
4 Apr 1832 departed Spithead for a cruise.
25 May 1832 arrived Halifax from Falmouth and departed 28th for Bermuda.
25 Aug 1832 it was observed in the Hampshire Telegraph, when the packet Sheldrake arrived at Falmouth from Halifax, that the Recruit, which departed Halifax more than 2 months previously had still not arrived Falmouth and that there is now no doubt that she must have foundered at sea.
The Hampshire Telegraph reports that the late purser's wife was disabled and unable to look after her 6 children, and no pension being due to her an appeal was made.
