Royal George, 1804

5 Jan 1804 passed through Spithead towards St Helen's, from Cowes, and received signals from the Royal William to make herself known, but being in the Revenue Service was not in possession of the signals used in the Navy could only continue on her passage, until she spoke with the Minerva cutter, who was sent out to check her out. Steps have now been taken to ensure that the Revenue Service is au fait with the Navy's signals.
13 Jan 1808 captured the French privateer Egle on the Home station.
