5 Mar 1826 Lieut. James C. Bennett has reported his having fallen in with the wreck of the Spanish Slave Brigantine Orestes, the late Joze Ramon Mutio, master, from the coast of Africa, and took from it 238 negroes, near the Grass Cut Keys, in the Gulf of Providence. 15 Mar 1826 condemned by the British and Spanish Mixed Court of Justice at Havannah.

9 Sep 1831 arrived at Jamaica, from Nassau.

15 Oct 1831 stopped briefly at Havana and reported that she had boarded a slave vessel off Trinidad, on the coast of Cuba, which turned out to be sailing under a French flag and had to allow her to proceed, as the Speedwell had no authority to detain French vessels involved in the slave trade at this date.

8 Mar 1832 arrived at Port au Prince from Port Royal.

6 Apr 1832 detained in lat. 21� N., long. 82� W., on the south side of Cuba, a few miles to the eastward of the Isle of Pines, en route from the River Camaroons, on Calebar coast, the Spanish slave schooner Planeta, Salvador Feliu, master, with 239 slaves on board, was sent to the British and Spanish Mixed Court of Justice, Havannah, for adjudication and was condemned on 26 Apr 1832. 3 Jun 1832 detained in lat. 21� 30' N., long. 83� W., on the south side of Cuba, a few miles to the eastward of the Isle of Pines, en route from the River Camaroons, on Calebar coast, the Spanish slave brig Aquila, 616 slaves, Juan Ferrer y Roig, master : of 330 tons, more than three times the tonnage of the Speedwell, and which had a crew of 70 men on board, and fought doggedly for an hour within pistol-range before she struck, was sent to the British and Spanish Mixed Court of Justice, Havannah, for adjudication and was condemned on 18 Jun 1832. 25 Jun 1832 detained in lat. 21� 30' N., long. 83� W., on the south side of Cuba, a few miles to the eastward of the Isle of Pines, en route fromm Onis, Rio Lagos the Indagadera, Bartolom� Alemany, former Mate, Master, Ramon Casal, Master, having died, was sent to the British and Spanish Mixed Court of Justice, Havannah, for adjudication and was condemned on 9 Jul 1832. 1 Jul 1832 Havannah harbour, an attempt was made by 2 men in a boat to rescue the Master, Boatswain, and Steward of the Indagadera, who were still onboard, however, due to the alertness of the crew of the Speedwell the men were detained and subsequently handed over to the Spanish Admiral.

8 Oct 1832 arrived Barbadoes from Bermuda, with the Blanche.

4 Nov 1832 arrived Barbadoes from Trinidad with the Blanche.
