Notes:

10 Dec 1800 arrived at Falmouth with the sloop Recovery, of Portsmouth, in tow, discovered 3 leagues off shore, a complete wreck and without anyone on board.

13 Dec 1800 departed from Falmouth on a cruise.

3 Feb 1801 (Captain Hopkins) has arrived at Falmouth with the brig Naptunus, of Lubeck, with a cargo of brandy, detained 6 miles off the Dodman.

8 Sep 1801 the Express brig parted her cables in a gale in the Downs and departed to the Westward. The Greyhound and Speedwell revenue cutters were instructed to follow the Express to assist in her distress.

20 Jul 1803 the sloop Seagull, Capt Burke ; the Speedwell ; Eagle ; and Renown, revenue cutters, departed Plymouth with a large convoy containing, in addition to merchant vessels, 30 French and Dutch prizes for London.

10 Sep 1803 arrived Penzance the revenue cutters Speedwell, and Providence.

Per Navy List circa 31 Dec 1814 shown to be armed with 8 guns as a Revenue cruiser under the command of John Hopkins, and responsible to the English Board.

3 Sep 1816 notice given that the Revenue Cutter Speedwell, of 143 tons burthen, will put up to sale in HM Yard at Plymouth.
