Notes:

10 Feb 1811 was reported to have been nearly ready at Bermuda, to be commissioned by Lt. Reddie, when the Halifax departed for Spithead.

5 Mar 1813, Halifax, arrived the Sylph, Capt. Douglas, from Bermuda, having lost her boats and anchors in bad weather after parting from the Childers, and reports the Britannia, with whom she separated on 20 Feb., now arrived Halifax 11 Mar.

20 Mar 1813, departed Halifax with the brig Childers and a convoy for the West Indies.

22 Jun 1813 captured the Ship Gustava.

26 Jun 1813 arrived Halifax with a large convoy from the West Indies.

7 Sep 1813, departed Bermuda, for the Chesapeake.

13 Sep 1813 captured the Schooner Mary.

4 Feb 1814, arrived from Jamaica, via Bermuda, and anchored off Trum-Cap, N.S.

6 Feb 1814, the Sylph arrived Halifax, 9 days from Bermuda, where nearly 40 US prizes, along with the following RN vessels were in harbour : San Domingo, Acasta, Endymion, Lacedemonion, Diadem, Romulus, Plantaganet, Rattler, Fox, Valiant, Belvidera, Rifleman, Ringdove, and Musquodobit, spending winter with the flag officer, where it was a bit warmer than Halifax!

23 Feb 1814, departed Halifax on a cruise.

21 Aug 1814, arrived Halifax, with the Armide, and a transport, from New London.

26 Aug 1814 Dragon, Endymion, Bacchante, Sylph and 10 transports with troops, departed from Halifax, Nova-Scotia, for the river Penobscot. The expedition was joined on the 31st, off the Metinicus islands, by the Bulwark, Tenedos, Rifleman and Peruvian.

1-3 Sep 1814 the fleet came to anchor off the fort and town of Castine and on the 2nd the Peruvian, Sylph and ships' boats headed up the up the Penobscot looking for the frigate Adams, at Hamden, which was set on fire by the defending US forces before they escaped inland.

17 Sep 1814 Pylades arrived Halifax, from Penobscot with the Endymion and Sylph, the latter having got aground in the Penobscot river, but was got off without doing too much damage.

17 Jan 1815 the Dispatch reports that the Sylph had gone ashore on the south side of Long Island and that only the purser and 5 men survived.
