Notes:

St Helena 14 Jun 1820 Had departed to the Cape of Good Hope.

St Helena 19 Nov 1820 is reported to be based at Mauritius.

6 Jan 1822 departed Spithead with despatches for the Cape of Good Hope and Bengal and is to relieve the Dauntless.

Cape of Good Hope 12 Oct 1825 arrived from Trincomalee and the Mauritius, and was to sail on the 20 Oct for England.

1824 - 1826 Burmese War - medal awarded to surviving officers, seamen, and marines - "India, No. 1" that decoration, with clasp for "Ava"). See p. 250 at www.archive.org/details/royalnavyhistory06clow.

Aug 1824 following ships composed the naval force in India : Tees (26 guns), Captain Thomas Coe, who, after the death of Commodore Grant, became the senior officer , Alligator (28), Slaney (20), Arachne (18), Larne (20), Sophie (18), Liffey (50), Of this force only the Larne was at Rangoon, the Sophie having been despatched to Bengal for provisions, &c.

3 Sep 1824 Captain Marryat was promoted out of the Larne into the Tees.

middle of May 1825 Captain Marryat departed Rangoon in command of the Tees.

5 Nov 1826 departed Spithead for Liverpool to be installed as the Church Ship for seamen at Liverpool, accompanied by the Pyramus, to bring back her crew.
