29 Jan 1801 departed Sheerness for the Nore.

12 Apr 1801 departed N. Yarmouth, on a cruise off the coast of Holland, a squadron from Adm. Dickson's North Sea Fleet, including the the Princess of Orange, flag ship for Adm. Dickson, with the Leyden, Madras, Monmouth, Texel, Agincourt, Bittern sloop, and Hart and Cobourg cutters.

10 May 1801 departed the Princess of Orange, with a squadron from Adm. Dickson's North Sea Fleet including the Monmouth, Vanguard, Madras, Texel, Ariadne, Assistance, Agincourt, Phoenix, and Speculator luggers, Ranger, and Squirrel, and the Narcissus brig, to cruise off Goree.

16 May 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth Adm. Dickson's squadron, from a cruise off Goree, consisting of the Princess of Orange, Leyden, Agincourt, Texel, Madras, Assistance, Squirrel, Hart, brig ; Speculator, lugger ; Bittern, sloop ; and Griffin, cutter.

24 May 1801 Adm Dickson in the Blenheim departed N. Yarmouth for a cruise off Goree with the Standard, 64, Brunswick, 74, Princess of Orange, 74, Assistance, 50, Texel 64 ; Squirrel, frigate ; Hart, brig ; and a cutter.

2 Jun 1801 arrived N. Yarmouth last night the following vessels, under the command of Adm Dickson, from a cruise off the coast of Holland : Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Texel, and Assistance ; the Solebay, and Waakzamheit, frigates ; and Phoenix and Liberty, cutters.

8 Jun 1801 Adm Dickson's squadron departed N. Yarmouth for a cruise on the Coast of Holland with the Blenheim, flag ship ; Brunswick, Princess of Orange, Leyden, Texel, Assistance, Solebay frigate ; Ariadne sloop ; and Liberty cutter.

13 Jul 1801 arrived in the Downs the Texel, Capt Incleden, from the North Sea.

14 Jul 1801 departed the Downs early this morning for Spithead.

19 Jul 1801 arrived Spithead from the Downs the Texel and Leyden.

circa 23 Jul 1801 the Malta, Capt Bertie, and Texel, Capt Incledon, are now ordered to be stationed at St Helen's, for the purpose of examining all vessels coming into Portsmouth harbour, and preventing any designs that may be formed by the enemy. Similar orders have been issued to the other Port Admirals ; and all Captains and other officers are enjoined to sleep on board their respective ships.

Circa Aug 1801 Mr. Naesmith, Purser of the Argo, to be purser of the Texel.

24 Aug 1801 remains at St Helen's.

8 Nov 1801 arrived Spithead from St Helen's.

Circa 24 Feb 1802 Captain Henry Garrett, son of Daniel Garrett, Esq. of Portsmouth, apptd to the command of the Texel, vice Incledon.

18 Mar 1802 a Court Martial was held on board the Gladiator, in Portsmouth harbour, to try Joseph Ashby, a Marine, belonging to HM ship Texel, for desertion. The charge being proved, he was sentenced to receive 200 lashes.

3 Apr 1802 departed Spithead the Standard, Ruby, Texel, and Astrea, to the Eastward, to be paid off.

5 Apr 1802 arrived in the downs and passed through to Sheerness.

7 Apr 1802 arrived Sheerness, from the Downs, and will depart for Chatham shortly to be paid off.

17 Apr 1803 the Texel, Leyden, and Vlieter, are nearly ready at Chatham.

10 May 1803 the Texel, Leyden, Beschermer, and Cerberus are now awaiting a wind at Chatham to drop down to Long Reach to embark their guns and powder &c.

13 May 1803 the Texel, Leyden, and Cerberus departed Chatham for Long Reach.

Circa 4 Aug 1804 Capt Clements apptd to the Texel.

Circa 4 Aug 1804 Mr E Bromley, Esq., apptd Surgeon of the Texel.

Circa 1 Sep 1804 Capt Campbell apptd to the Texel.

Circa 29 Dec 1804 reports that the Texel had been lost on Margate Sands were untrue, she being safe at Leith at the time.
