31 Oct 1891, Chatham, having completed a survey along the east coast, will be laid up for the winter months, whilst the officers on board belonging to the survey service will be preparing new charts reflecting their surveys carried out during the past season.
1 Apr 1892 is to be ready to resume her surveying duties on the East Coast.
26 Jun 1897 Present at the Naval Review at Spithead in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.
