30 Aug 1799 Utrecht, 64, Captured, August 30, by voluntary surrendering (the seamen having refused to fight against the orange flag) to a British squadron under V.-Adm Mitchell, in the Vlieter, Texel. (Vol iii, Appendix No 2)

Circa Sep 1801 Capt J. West, apptd to the Utrecht.

13 Oct 1801 ordered to be paid off following the signing of the Peace of Amiens.

26 Mar 1803 in hand at Chatham and being brought forward for commission, and is expected to drop down to Long Reach on Monday to embark her guns and Powder &c. The Lords of the Admiralty have directed that men of war fitted out at Chatham shall take in their powder and guns &c., in Long Reach, about half way to Sheerness, instead of at Blackstakes, where they have hitherto have been brought up for that purpose.

17 Apr 1803 departed Long Reach, for the Nore.

18 Apr 1803 arrived Sheerness from Chatham and has gone to the Great Nore.

28 Apr 1803 the Isis fell in with the Utrecht off Goree, and R.-Adm Thornborough transferred his flag from the Isis to the Utrecht, following which the Isis returned to Spithead, leaving R.-Adm Thornborough in command of a squadron made up as follows : Utrecht, 64, Capt Thomas Rogers ; Africaine, 44, Capt Manbey ; Leda, 38, Capt Honeyman ; Hydra, 38, Capt Mundy ; Ambuscade, 38, Capt Atkins ; Constance, 24, Capt Griffiths ; and 2 revenue cutters.

10 May 1803 the Utrecht has arrived Sheerness to be docked, and her ship's company has been turned over to the Victory, which departs Sheerness for the Nore tomorrow.

10 Jun 1803 was undocked at Sheerness yesterday.

13 Jun 1803 Adm Lord Keith has hoisted his flag on board the Utrecht in Sheerness harbour.

3 Jul 1803 arrived in the Downs from Sheerness. R.-Adm Montague shifted his flag from the Gelykheid to the Utrecht.

14 Jul 1803 the Utrecht remains in the Downs, with the Melpomene, the Censor, and Milbrook.

8 Aug 1803 arrived in the Downs the Colossus, from the River, and remains with the Utrecht, sloop Peterel, and a number of armed cutters.

4 Sep 1803 remain in the Downs the Monarch, Adm Lord Keith ; Utrecht, R.-Adm Montague, Capt Rogers ; Raisonable, Capt Hotham ; Immortalite, Capt Owen ; Ranger, Capt Coote ; Sulphur, Capt McLeod ; and Conflict, Mariner, Speculation, gun brigs ; the transports Comet, Canada, Aurora, and Minerva, under the command of Capt Watson, RN.

12 Oct 1803 remain in the Downs the Monarch, Right Hon Adm Lord Keith ; Utrecht, R.-Adm Montague, Capt Rogers ; Diana, Capt Maling ; Ranger, sloop, Capt Coats ; Squirrel ; Autumn, Capt Jackson ; Vesuvius, Capt O'Brien, bomb ; Sulphur, Capt M'Leod ; Archer, Conflict, Monkey, and Sterling, gun brigs ; the latter from a cruise.

2 Nov 1803 remain in the Downs the Monarch, Right Hon Adm Lord Keith ; Utrecht, R.-Adm Montague, Capt Loring ; Amaranthe, Capt Bays ; Merlin ; and Lynx, sloops ; Perseus, Capt Melhuish, bomb ; Milbrook, schooner, Lieut Starck ; Minx, Lieut Manchison, and Vixen, Lieut Brown, gun brigs.

18 Nov 1803 remains in the Downs the Monarch, Utrecht, Raisonable, Magicienne, Squirrel, Amaranthe, Champion, Vulture, Hound, Merlin sloops ; Perseus, and Fury, bombs ; Seaflower, brig ; Starling, gun brig ; Findon, hired sloop, and the transports Plymouth, Supply, and Sussex Oak.

4 Dec 1803 R.-Adm M.....? struck flag and V.-Adm Patton hoisted his blue flag on board the Utrecht.

15 Dec 1803 remains in the Downs.

Circa 9 Jun 1804 Capt Pickmore apptd to the Utrecht, the flag ship of Adm ???? at Deal.
