Circa 10 Nov 1804 it was reported in the Sussex News of the Hampshire Telegraph that Capt Cook of the Vulture, stationed at Rye, had, some few days since seized, entering the harbour of that place, a very fine lugger, laden with 1,200 parcels, containing contraband goods worth �3,000.

6 Jun 1806 the Hampshire Telegraph reports at Portsmouth that the Vulture revenue cutter of Newhaven, seized last week off Dungeness the Dolphin smuggling cutter laden with 300 casks of spirits.
