circa Jan 1831 Capt. Warren, who had his pendant as Commodore on board the William and Mary yacht, at Woolwich, has ceased to fill that situation, but remains in the command of the vessel, on board of which such Volunteers as offer their services, and are found fit, are now received.

2 Feb 1833 Woolwich.

14 Dec 1839 Mr. Suther, assistant-surgeon of the dockyard, Portsmouth, is appointed to the William and Mary yacht.

31 Jul 1840, Woolwich, Mr. Benjamin Hoare, from the William and Mary, has been appointed first engineer of the Prospero, vice Arthur dismissed from the service.

21 Aug 1840 Woolwich, appointed to the Rodney. Mr. C. A. T. Lloyd, mate. Mr. Lloyd is from the Buzzard, and has been for some time in the William and Mary, waiting a passage to join his ship.

21 Aug 1840 Woolwich, appointed to the William and Mary Yacht, at Woolwich. Mr. William Merriman, supernumerary gunner.

28 Sept 1840 Mr. W. B. Minhinnick, second engineer, appointed to the Comet, vice Truscott, promoted to be first engineer, and appointed to the William and Mary ; and Mr. Thomas Grayson, to be third engineer, vice Fraser, discharged by request.

28 Sept 1840 Mr. William Key, to be second engineer to the Medea, vice Brunker, to the William and Mary.

26 Oct 1840 Woolwich, left today for Sheerness, under tow of the Firebrand steam vessel.

2 Nov 1840 Woolwich returned to Woolwich from Sheerness on Sunday afternoon, towed by the Firebrand.

11 Dec 1840 Mr. John Cawley, appointed to the Avon steam-vessel, as Second Engineer, vice Horn, to the William and Mary, as First Engineer .

12 Dec 1840 Second Engineer John Cawley, appointed to the Avon, vice Horne to the William and Mary, as first engineer.

22 Aug 1840 Gunner W. Merriman, acting in Excellent, appointed to be supernumerary, 3d class, to William and May;

5 Jan 1841 Woolwich, The crew of the William and Mary was paid their wages yesterday at the pay-office in the dockyard.

6 May 1841 Mr. Peter Suther, surgeon of the William and Mary yacht has been appointed surgeon of Woolwich Dockyard.

2 Oct 1841 Commander M. A. Slater, acting, appointed to the William and Mary (commanding the Lightning).
